User Permissions & Access

Reg.Direct is licensed on a per-user basis.

A user requires both an app license and permissions to use the app components to successfully use the app.

To allocate a license to a user,

  • In Setup, search for Installed Packages
  • On the Installed Packages page, search for Reg.Direct and press the Manage Licenses link
  • On the Manage Licenses page, select the relevant button to either Add Users, or Remove Multiple Users.
  • Choose the users to add licenses to, or remove licenses from.

Issuing a license to use Reg.Direct provides the user with the right to use components within the app, it does not automatically provide access to all components.

To ensure that your users have the correct access to Reg.Direct components, give each licensed user the Reg.Direct Editor Permission Set.

This permission set provides access create and update Company records and related fields, and also to update the Reg.Direct custom fields on Account.

Transitioning from a Site License

If your company has a legacy Site License, which does not require you to issue individual licenses to users, you must transition from this to User Licenses.

To perform the transition, please co-ordinate a date and time with your Reg.Direct Account Manager for your license to be changed from Site-Wide to Per-User.

As soon as your license is changed, your users will be unlicensed and you must follow the steps above to issue each user requiring access to any Reg.Direct component, object or field with a license.
